Deep ruby color with violet hues. Aromas of ripe red fruits—redcurrant, raspberry, strawberry jam—layered with spice and cocoa. The palate is vibrant and powerful, yet balanced and round with silky tannins, a harmonious structure, and a long finish. Mature French cheeses, cured sausages, or richly sauced dishes such as Asian barbecue and braised beef brisket.
